SPW is an international non-profit, non-government organisation working with and for young people in Africa and Asia. SPW volunteers work as peer-educators and deliver vital health, environment and community education which directly reaches over 400,000 young people each year.

Do you have the passion to make a difference?

Want to have a totally unique experience ... play soccer with youth in Africa ... help young people protect themselves against malaria and HIV... open a library or youth centre ... construct a smokeless stove ... establish a recycling program?

How about learning a new language ... experiencing a new culture ... making great friendships and living in a village on the other side of the world?

You don't need any formal qualifications, you don't even need to be a student!

You just need to be enthusiastic, committed and passionate about making a difference.

Come along to the next info session to find out what SPW programs are all about and speak to returned volunteers.

One Village

One village is a not for profit organisaiton that was set up by former SPW Uganda volunteer Nikki Lovell, to provide education and aid programs in Namwendwa Village, Uganda.

"Truly, I've never known an approach from an NGO like this, who have the approach of going straight to the villagers, and living with them in this difficult environment. I would like to say, 'SPW, we need money', but this not a solution. SPW, do your best to give us knowledge like this, which will endure.''

Ibrahim Chang'a, villager, Kiwrere, Tanzania
